SURFACE TREATMENT

Anodizing

Anodizing is the process of developing a layer of aluminum oxide (Al2O3) on the surface of the aluminum and its alloys through the electrolysis process.

Introduction

Anodizing is the process of developing a layer of aluminum oxide (Al2O3) on the surface of the aluminum and its alloys through the electrolysis process. After anodizing, the surface becomes super resistive to corrosion and enhances the other mechanical properties of wear resistance and hardness. Various colors such as, black, blue, gold, grey, and red are easily achievable with the anodizing process. It can maintain a surface roughness not lower than Ra 3.2μm.

It is used in various industries, including automobile, architecture, aerospace, home appliances, etc.

Powder coating

Surface finishing with powder coatings includes electrostatically depositing dry powder thermally cured.

Introduction

Powder coating is the electrostatically applied of dry powder to the surface. It produces a thin layer providing excellent resistance to wear, corrosion, and abrasion.

Surface finishing with powder coatings includes electrostatically depositing dry powder thermally cured. Powder coating offers a durable surface and is suitable for metal parts made of Steel and aluminum. Their alloys are coated with powder—particularly those used in Vehicle & household appliances. The powder coating creates a strong layer resistant to wear, corrosion, and abrasion.

Powder coating’s advantages over traditional liquid coating methods

High durability: Powder coating is a very durable and long-lasting coating that can withstand high temperatures, chemicals, and UV exposure.

High efficiency: Powder coating can be applied quickly and easily and it does not require solvents.

High versatility: Powder coating can be used on a wide range of materials, including metals, plastics, and composites.

High environmental friendliness: Powder coating does not produce hazardous pollutants during the application process.

Steps of powder coating:

Surface preparation: The surface to be coated must be cleaned and prepared to ensure the adhesion of the coating.

Application: The powder is electrostatically charged and sprayed onto the surface, where it is then fused into a smooth, even coating.

Curing: The coated surface is then heated in an oven to cure the coating, which can take anywhere from a few minutes to an hour, depending on the specific powder used and the thickness of the coating.

Inspection: The coating is inspected for any defects, such as bubbles, sags, or holidays (missed spots)

It is important to note that powder coating can also be applied in a fluidized bed process, where the parts are dipped into a fluidized powder and then cured.

Powder coating is widely used in various industries such as automotive, architectural, appliances, furniture, general manufacturing, and many more.

Surface Polishing Service

Surface Polishing is the process of refining and enhancing a surface by removing or minimizing imperfections, such as scratches, marks, or unevenness. The objective is to create a smooth, reflective, and visually appealing surface.

Polishing involves physically rubbing the part to create a smooth, shiny surface.Polishing significantly improves the appearance of the parts. It provides surface finishing for the metal parts and is rarely used for plastics because hardness is the most required property to apply the polishing approach.

It also aids in the prevention of corrosion damage and is used in Automotive, tools, kitchenware, and architectural parts.

SURFACE FINISHING

Bead Blasting Services

Bead blasting refines the surface of your custom parts, boosting their functionality and appearance. We use high-pressure glass beads to create a consistent matte or satin finish. If you’re only after the look, we offer a cosmetic-only option. Simple, effective, and reliable—that’s our approach to perfection.

Bead Blasted

Bead blasting produces a smooth, shiny surface. This process combines abrasive materials, including aluminum oxide, glass pieces, and steel beads, with high-speed compressed air. Bead blasting removes all tool marks from surfaces, making them equally matte.

The attached burr gets washed away by the high-pressure air jet angled and directed at the part’s surface. It applies to claims made. It applies to ABS, Aluminum, Brass, Stainless Steel, and Steel parts.

Uses and Benefits

Here are the Uses and Benefits of bead blasting services:

· Finishing: It gives a uniform matte finish to various materials, like medical tools, making them look good and easy to clean.

· Deburring: The method removes sharp edges from machined parts.

· Peening: With bead blasting, materials can gain increased fatigue resistance, especially when using steel shots (shot peening).

· Texturing: It can add specific textures to surfaces for better grip or looks.
