Product name

Aluminum 2014

This alloy is one of the highest strength heat treatable products available today. It combines excellent strength with good machinability. 2014 Aluminum is one of the easiest aluminum alloys to weld and performs well in arc and resistance welding methods. However, it has limited corrosion resistance. When expected to be exposed to the outside environment, Alloy 2014 should be protected with pure aluminum coating or lacquer. Alloy 2014 is an ideal forging alloy for aircraft components such as landing gear and hydraulic cylinders.
