Product name

Aluminum 5083

Aluminium 5083 is a non-heat-treated alloy known for its resistance to extreme environments, including seawater corrosion and industrial chemicals. Aluminium 5083 has limited machinability due to its ultra-high strength and is the material of choice for marine and aquatic applications, often used in the shipbuilding industry. Other uses of this alloy include transportation applications such as railways, trucks and bodywork, as well as pressure vessels and food processors.

TOP
5083 Aluminium is alloyed with magnesium and trace amounts of manganese and chromium. 5083 alloy retains extremely high strength after welding. It is the strongest of the non-heat-treatable alloys, but is not recommended for use in environments above 65 ° C.
